About Ol’ Ephraim Outdoors
Ol’ Ephraim Outdoors was born from a partnership between InnoVets, a 501 (c3) serving Veterans and Gold Star families in Boston, MA, and March and Mill Co., an outdoor apparel company founded by Kevan Miller and Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins. Both share a mutual love of all things outdoors and a commitment to give back to Veterans and Gold Star families. We launched an initiative to bring our two organizations together with exclusive hunting trips for Veterans and Gold Star family members.
March and Mill Co. generously donated the use of private hunting land in Newfoundland and hunting tags for our first trip in 2020. On this inaugural hunt, veterans were flown to Newfoundland to hunt woodland caribou and black bear, free of charge to the participants. The partnership with March and Mill Co. flourished, built on love of country and giving back to those that sacrificed for our nation. Kevin and Brad’s generosity is the cornerstone of programming at Ol’ Ephraim Outdoors.
West Canyon Ranch
Upon the success of our first hunt in Newfoundland, March and Mill Co. introduced us to Nick Summers, owner and operator of West Canyon Ranch. Hidden in the heart of the northern Wasatch Mountains, West Canyon Ranch offers guaranteed hunting adventures across 4,000 acres of breathtaking scenery filled with hundreds of elk, bison, and turkey. In September of 2021, four veterans set out on a 4-day bison hunt, guided by Kevan Miller and the professional guides at West Canyon Ranch. The addition of West Canyon Ranch as a partner transformed the program into a one-of-a-kind opportunity to hunt at one of our nation’s most sought-after hunting lodges. In September of 2023 we held our second Veteran’s Hunt at West Canyon Ranch. Four veterans and a Gold Star brother traveled to Utah for a once-in-a-lifetime five-day elk hunt. The trip was excellent with each hunter taking home a prized bull elk and an unforgettable experience.

Meals are provided by an incredible private chef, cooked in the state-of-the-art kitchen in the lodge. The cabin is surrounded by endless mountain views. Hundreds of elk roam the property along with bison and turkey. West Canyon Ranch is committed to preserving the over one-hundred-year-old homestead to its natural state and painstaking measures are taken to ensure its natural beauty is sustained as it was hundreds of years ago.
